I have long been putting off writing this post, simply because I don’t have enough words to talk about it. But it’s time. I don’t have any photos or videos to share of the experience, I’m more of a watch it and enjoy the memory kinda girl. I don’t enjoy watching though a camera lens I like to be in the action. Though they are memories I will treasure forever. If you care to read to the end of post you’ll see an awful lot of gushing from me- and I’m okay with that.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on some tickets to see Earth Wind and Fire in concert. Now, anyone who knows me- will understand just what this means to me. I haven’t really done a generic “get to know me post” and maybe one day I will but here’s all you need to know:

Name: Leah

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Occupation: Yet to be disclosed- technical difficulties lie in the fact female does not know what to engage.

Favourite colour: Yellow

Favourite beverage: Tea

Favourite song: September By Earth Wind and Fire

So, knowing this new piece of information you may be able to see just how excited I was to be able to see Earth Wind and Fire live.

I don’t really know what to say, this may have been the best experience of my life topped only by the day my brother was born. I don’t know what other band you can go and see live, and be graced with 5 drum kits, a high energy amazing show, dancing, singing, love, laughter. I don’t know what will ever top this for me honestly.

The support act Rob Green may have been the best support act I’ve ever seen. A beautiful voice and a beautiful soul. He has released an EP which honestly I can’t recommend to you enough! This guys got talent. I’m excited to see what he comes out with next!

Out came Earth Wind and Fire putting on the show of a lifetime. September was the last song they played. I cried (a lot), I danced, I screamed every lyric until my vocal chords couldn’t say another word. I got to see my favourite song performed live. I’m still not over it. I don’t think I’ll ever be over it.

This was the best thing to ever happen to me.

Live in the moment, put the cameras and phones down and enjoy the experiences you are graced with, while you’re there. The memory is so much more precious than the videos, so much more special. You don’t have to take videos or photos to prove anything happened, just enjoy it and make the most of it. If you take anything from this post- take away that advice. Live in the moment, always and whole heartedly.
