Fog,

Covered,

Arms reaching,

Man made of mist,

Trying to grab me,

He’s got into my head,

My thoughts all begin to blur,

The man of the mist coming for me,

My judgment is clouded, I can’t see,

My depression is catching up with me.

I battle against the man made of mist,

I beg him to get out my head,

The sunlight strikes through the clouds,

I step out of the mist,

The sunlight saves me,

Man made of mist,

Disperses,

The man,

Gone.

It’s a new year which means a whole new 365 days to combat our fears. The new year celebrations aren’t happy for everyone and it’s so easy to slip into depression, almost unnoticed. The man of mist himself takes everyone vulnerable. That’s why it’s so important to check in on your friends and family. Be kind to people you see, you don’t know whether the man of mist is breathing down the backs of their necks. It’s important to be gracious and kind and loving. 2019, lets make this the year we care for one another, show compassion and have a little humanity in this human race.

You never know what someone is dealing with so if you have to choose between being right or being kind, always choose kind. If you have to choose between stopping for 5 minutes to talk to someone and make their day or busily running your own errands, make the time to stop.

The man of mist may be lurking, but we can keep him at bay, together.
