Two people sit round a table,
Just two people alone,
It's simple, and plain, yet it's theirs,
They have no fears, worries or cares,
How happy are they to be,
Just the two people you see.

The following year comes another,
Two people, and now a third,
The thrid one is crying,
They can't get a line in,
Still how happy they are to be,
Sat around the table as three.

And then another is added,
Three plus one that makes four,
This family is growing,
In their lives they are showing,
How happy they are as a four,
No longer a three anymore.

The following year there is six,
This meal is not one to be missed,
First a family of two,
Now six that is true,
How happy they are to be,
Now they are three and three.

And then the orignal two,
Sit down on the chairs,
They look around,
At the life they have found,
How happy they are to be,
Part of a family.
