Elizabeth’s Waltz

She walks into the room with a dance in her step,
She waltz’s and turns to the song in her head,
For her husband wrote it as a gift you see,
He wrote her a waltz for their first anniversary.

10 years it has been since her husband has passed,
And still that melody remains to last,
It’s her favourite, she hums it, dances across the floor,
Remembering a time, he was there for support.

Her partner, her husband, her lover, her friend,
Together they would dance for hours on end,
Elizabeth’s waltz, a tune made for two,
A love that will last and forever be true.
