Toxic Juice

She drinks weird green juice,
But she doesn't enjoy it,
She thinks she has too.

All the other girls,
Walk round drinking weird green drinks,
She decides not too.

She leaves the green drink,
Society won't tell her,
Green drinks define her.

This poem, at face value may seem to be about green smoothies, and whilst I do not personally love a green smoothie, the poem goes a little further than that. This is about how you don’t need to follow the crowd and ‘drink the toxic drinks’ that society lay out for us. Just because you see others do it doesn’t mean you should fall into the trap. Just because you see it on social media, does not mean you should feel obliged to do it, if you don’t like it.

Put down the green juice and live the life you want to live.
